Gushor - Joint Industry Project
October 9th, 2009
Gushor Inc. and a major service provider have teamed up to provide a Joint Industry Project in relation to Thermal Recovery and Sulfur Gas Production from Bitumen and Heavy Oil Reservoirs.
Hydrogen sulphide and other sulfur species emissions from bitumen thermal recovery operations are becoming an increasing concern for both existing producers, who may have to reduce production or retrofit hydrogen sulfide treatment facilities to existing plants, or to new producers who have to sensibly design their facilities. It is clear that there is currently no useful predictive tool for design of such facilities or for recovery management to attenuate sulphur gas production during steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) or cyclic steam simulation (CSS).
Gushor Inc. and a major service provider have decided to partner on a Joint Industry Project that performs research and development necessary to produce a reservoir simulator based predictive tool to aid in managment of sulfur gas production from thermal recovery processes such as CSS and SAGD.
If additional information is required regarding this Joint Industry Project or your company would like to participate in the project please feel free to contact us at info@gushor.com.
