Gushor Inc. is a fluid analysis and reservoir engineering company that provides innovative geochemical and reservoir engineering solutions to practical production and exploration problems in the heavy oil and tar sand industry by integration of geology, fluid properties, geochemistry and reservoir simulation.

We run industry-standard analyses, but also provide expert interpretation of the data and are able to optimize heavy and bitumen recovery schemes. For geochemical and fluid property analysis, we use a proprietary rapid bitumen sample recovery technique and can use difficult conventional core samples or cuttings to determine fluid properties e.g. viscosity and API gravity. Advanced analytical techniques are used to perform quantitative petroleum hydrocarbon and non hydrocarbon (NSO) geochemistry (GCMS) for heavy oil and bitumen characterization.

At Gushor Inc., we strive to optimize production strategies by describing and capitalizing on heterogeneous fluid property distribution in HOTS reservoirs and have carried out over 100 projects with small and large HOTS companies.

In addition to fluid characterization we have developed software for prediction of oil viscosities away from well control.  We have an Engineering Division that performs reservoir simulation studies from the routine to sophisticated history matches and well placement and operating strategy studies. We design and optimize pilot or production scale recovery processes and currently are involved in the design and field deployment of oil and gas recovery processes ranging from established SAGD/CSS processes; through to advanced J-well designs, gas recovery from hydrates, and even carbon dioxide sequestration.

We specialize in reducing emissions from thermal and cold recovery operations. We are the One Stop Shop for fluid data, reservoir geochemical expertise and recovery process engineering problem solving where your oils are heavy, variable in properties and are difficult to recovery economically.
